Pastor’s Pen for Sunday, August 4, 2019

“Nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know Whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day.”
II Timothy 1:12b

Persuaded

Persuaded by God, through and through,
That there is nothing He wouldn’t do,
To completely take care of what He’s committed to,
Taking care of what belongs to Him!
 
Convinced beyond mere human thinking,
That Jesus saves those who are sinking,
By defeating death and by grace now linking,
He’s taking care of what belongs to Him!

So since that time I believed on His name,
I’ve been made new, no longer the same,
By His great love, not covered in shame,
He takes care of what belongs to Him!

And that is who we truly are,
Those who were are near, who once were far,
Those who in ourselves weren’t up to par,
We now belong to Him!

So there’s no place for doubt or fear,
God has chosen to draw near,
Not standing distant, He’s right here,
Caring for what belongs to Him!

Remind yourself as often as you can,
God has a marvelous purpose and plan,
To take care of you your whole life span,
Because you belong to Him!
