Count the Stars 
"He took him (Abraham) outside and said, 'Look up at the sky and count the stars - if indeed you can count them...So shall your offspring be.'  Abram believed the Lord, and he credited it to him as righteousness." Genesis 15:5-6

Focus determines outcome!  Too often we fail to look up and be astonished.  Instead we look down and become discouraged.  God had not forgotten His promise to Abraham, nor had He changed His plan. 

Though some years had passed,  the promise still held. Time can not extinguish what God wants to do in our lives.  Abraham was now in his mid-eighties, his wife Sarah was still barren, but with God, all things are possible!

Beware of speaking "lack smack", declaring what is as all there is.  Let faith arise and agree with the Lord.  As Isaiah wrote, "Look to Me,  and be saved, all you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other."

Daniel wrote, "...but the people who know their God shall be strong and carry out great exploits." Daniel 11:32b. He Who made the stars calls us to look up be reminded that nothing is too hard for Him to address.  

Hebrews 5:14, 16 tells us how to "count the stars"...
"Seeing then that we have a great High Priest Who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession...Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need."

God's not finished with us yet,
