Momentary Troubles
"For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." II Corinthians 17-18
It's easy to get overwhelmed when life's trials and troubles seem to outweigh our strength, zap our stamina and scream for attention. At times we just want to run away or somehow escape difficulties. But in this journey with Jesus, we have the confidence to know that "inwardly we are being renewed day by day." (II Corinthians 4:16)
God has not abandoned us and His plans are for our good, yet we can grow weary. But even then, we can be assured that all trouble is "momentary". Troubles won't last in the face of faith! This too shall pass...for what seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal!
So where is your focus? Are you over-powered by your troubles or are you overcoming in the strength of the Savior?
Are you sinking in thoughts of desperation or are you surrounded by the Spirit of God as you worship in His presence? The choice is ours.
Choose your focus, enjoy the journey,
