Pastor’s Pen for Sunday, September 29, 2019

“I am the Good Shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.”
John 10:11

The Good Shepherd 

Sometimes we forgot to count the cost,
Other times wise decisions just got tossed,
But whatever the case, now we’re lost,
I need the Good Shepherd!

For truly there is One who looks out for me,
One who knows everything and can really see,
By my side, when others would flee,
Jesus is the Good Shepherd!

For like sheep, we go astray,
Our nature is to wander away,
Though we desire with Him to stay,
We need the Good Shepherd!

And unlike any other,
Moms, Dads, sisters, brother,
With agendas that can smother,
Jesus is the Good Shepherd!

For only Jesus came, His life to give, 
So by receiving Him, we could live,
Not just for today, but forever live,
Because of Jesus the Good Shepherd!

So come to Jesus, in Him be found,
He’ll set your life on solid ground,
You’ll hear His voice, like no other sound,
Thanking Him, your Good Shepherd!
