Pastor’s Pen for Sunday, November 24, 2019

“But thanks be to God, Who gives us the victory through our
Lord Jesus Christ!”  I Corinthians 15:57

Thanks Be To God

Not just another day of the year,
Not just a day your team to cheer,
Not a day for us, let’s be clear,
It’s a day for THANKSGIVING!

And though it is a time to simply rest,
And to remember how we are blessed,
Let’s don’t forget Who gave His Best,
It’s a time for THANKSGIVING!

For gratefulness is the way to live,
Not self-absorbed, life going down the sieve,
We were meant to be those who give,
THANKS unto the Lord!

And where do we even start,
To cultivate a grateful heart? 
By looking at God’s part!
Giving THANKS unto the Lord!

For in Jesus we have won,
His work on the cross, completely done,
We now can have life in the Son!
Such a reason for THANKSGIVING!

So remember it was because of God’s giving,
We have the victory in everyday living,
And can now be the people
Who live every day, in THANKSGIVING!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
