Pastor’s Pen for Sunday, January 12, 2020
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage;
Do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9

Strong

Stand and see the hand of the Lord
Don’t be empty handed, without your sword,
Look up, envision what is just ahead,
God is alive, He is not dead!

Rise and let your light shine,
Say, ‘All of God’s promises are mine!’
I will not cower or be dismayed,
I will overcome by the price He paid!

Nothing can stop His work in me,
I am His child, I’ve been made free,
No discouraging word will take me out,
He is with me, every moment, I will shout!

And though the journey may seem long,
Christ in me will keep me strong,
His Holy Spirit daily will fill,
Each of us, to do His will!

Courage in the face of the unknown,
Strength He provides from His throne,
Peace in and through the night,
With eyes on Jesus, we have the light!

So walk as He has commanded,
 In Him we are never ‘stranded’,
Never will He leave us alone,
Nothing, His kindness can postpone!
