Pastor’s Pen for Sunday, May 17, 2020
“that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life.”  I Timothy 1:16
Waiting Patiently
Have you noticed, God’s not in a rush?
He never tells us our concerns to crush,
He patiently waits for that holy hush,
To show His longsuffering…

Knowing the plans He had for Paul,
Even when he was the angry Saul,
He stepped into his path, his name to call,
With all authority and longsuffering…

And by that example, you and I can see,
How God waits patiently for you and me,
Revealing His love, grace, and mercy,
Through His longsuffering…

But remember, though God is never late,
We must not ignore, delay or hesitate,
To respond to His love, why would you wait?
Come to Him Who is longsuffering…

And experience the joy He has for you,
Walk in the liberty He has purchased too,
For our longsuffering, Lord will see us through,
Making us longsuffering too…
