“The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth…” Exodus 34:6b
Abounding in Goodness
Here I stand on holy ground,
Adoring You Lord, as I gaze around,
Seeing Your goodness to me abound!
For at times I do forget,
Bowed down with failure and regret,
To recall Your goodness on me is set!
There is nothing that can separate,
Not plague, not evil, not hate,
No where, Your abounding goodness does not saturate!
So today and then again tomorrow,
I will cast on You, all my sorrow,
Opening my heart in joy to borrow,
From Your abounding goodness!
