Pastor’s Pen for Sunday, July 5, 2020
“Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.” Proverbs 14:34

A Call
Seems that alarms are ringing,
Wake up calls, God is bringing,
To call us back, to His arms clinging,
A call is sounding forth…

Times of stress can abound,
But through it all I hear the sound,
Of God calling us to turn around,
A call can still be heard…

So best to heed His instruction,
Take time to pray, avert destruction,
God is the Builder, we seek His construction,
A call to respond…

So on this weekend of celebration,
While giving thanks for our nation,
Let’s turn to Him, in this current situation,
And answer the call…
“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”  II Chronicles 7:14
