Pastor’s Pen for Sunday, September 13, 2020

“But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, 
nor have entered into the heart of man the things which 
God has prepared for those who love Him.”  I Corinthians 2:9   


Those Things He’s Prepared for Us…


Hasn’t even crossed your mind,
Things which God has for us to find,
Those things He’s prepared for us,
 though we are often blind…

Beyond our grandest imagination,
Possible because of the incarnation,
Those things He’s prepared for us, 
though now there’s separation…

Too great to be fully known by the human heart,
So awesome His amazing love from the very start,
Those things He’s prepared for us,
Though now we know only a part…

Soon the curtain will be pulled back,
Face to face, nothing we’ll lack,
Those things He’s prepared for us,
Though now we sometimes get off track…

But look, there in God’s word,
All we need to know can be heard,
About the things He’s prepared for us,
Revealed not concealed,
By the Spirit of God Who lives in us!
