Convinced and Compelled
"For Christ's love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died." II Corinthians 5:14
We can be reconciled to God when we are convinced that Jesus death on the cross provides the means of a relationship with the Father. Believing in Jesus' redemptive work and receiving Him as our Savior is the only way to be reconciled to God.
When we are convinced (persuaded by faith) that Jesus died for everyone, we then are compelled to see others through His eyes. Since God loves every person more than we can imagine, we can move beyond surface level assumptions and share His love and mission with them.
Paul reminds us that Jesus makes the difference when he wrote: "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come; the old has gone, the new is here!" II Corinthians 5:17
Allow the Lord to convince you of what Jesus has done for you! Allow His love then to compel you to share that good news with others!
