Son of God
"But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons." Galatians 4:4-5
[This marks the second week in Advent, as we celebrate our Savior's birth]
Jesus is the Son of God! He has always been God's only begotten Son. When the time was right, He was sent from the Father to redeem us. Born of a woman, Mary and born under the law, He was from the tribe of Judah.
This is critical in understanding the Christmas message. Jesus was sent by God on a history- changing mission. Not just another baby, but the Lord of all, Who came to provide the only means of salvation for humanity.
-"He Who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all..." Romans 8:32
-"For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son..." Romans 8:3
-"I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me...I live by faith in the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself for me." Galatians 2:20
This is the meaning of Christmas: God loves us enough to send His only Son to die for our sins. Now, He lives forevermore and those who receive Him will not perish but have everlasting life! John 3:16-17
Have you received the greatest Gift ever given? Will you have a truly "Merry Christmas "?
